King Redeem

Ryan Supalla (aka King Redeem) is an Anime Music Video (AMV) editor within Tsunderbird Studios. He has been editing since 2014 from his hometown of Tucson, AZ, amassing an impressive amount of accolades. Some of the highlights include the coveted Animethon Audience Favorite award, 3 time Anime Expo Best Comedy winner, AX Iron Chef champion, and 6 time AWA Pro winner.

Ryan is best known for his comedy and trailer mash-up videos, but enjoys dabbling in the occasional AMV commercial or contest intro. Some notable works include One Horn Man, Stranger Impact 2, and Dragon Maids.

Most importantly, Ryan is a self-proclaimed Vlad superfan, or SuperVlan, as he has now dubbed it. Vlad G Pohnert holds the mantle as Canada’s most beloved AMV contest coordinator (and Animethon Co-Chair). As a way to honor his contribution to the AMV contest scene, Ryan has created Sunshine Vlad, King Vlad, and all other Vlad subsidiaries through his contest intro videos for both Otafest and Taste of Animethon.

Ryan is excited to deliver his first Animethon contest intro for 2019, and is thrilled to experience his first ever Animethon in person. He hopes to bring his infectious, enthusiastic love of AMVs to Edmonton.
