Overview:
-Year-round position, 5 hrs/week

Qualifications:

-Other content and design experience including photo editing, video editing, logo design etc. would be a plus The Autograph Staff reports to the Autographs Manager. Successful candidates will be responsible for cash handling and Point of Sales transactions at the Guest Autograph tables, line control, verify Autograph entry, and any other duties assigned within the Autographs area by the Autographs Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Handle cash and point of sales transactions for Guest merchandise or services
Perform inventory control of merchandise and cash floats as per procedures
Verify Autograph entry
Control lineups within the Autographs area
Respond to customer inquiries regarding Autographs

Customer Service experience is an asset. The Guest Handler, reporting to the English, Overseas, or Industry Manager, is responsible for guiding and providing support to official Guests of Honour under the Department of Guest Relations. This role is suited for those who love engaging conversations and are passionate about delivering excellent experiences and service. It is also a great opportunity for those interested in professional development in local and international cultural contexts, particularly when it comes to skills such as professional communication. Core Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Act as an ambassador and guide for the event for assigned Guests of Honours.
Accountable for ensuring and arranging for all Guest(s) requirements are met, including transportation and meals.
Accountable for arranging local attractions and activities at Guests request and with Guest Manager’s approval.
Provide support for Guest(s) to perform contractual obligations and follow agreed upon schedules.
Regular communication with the Guest Relations team about any Guest requests, logistics, and updates.
Responsible for event expenses on behalf of the Guest, including cash handling.

Customer Service experience is an asset. The Guest Operations Staff report to the Guest Operations Manager. Successful candidates will be responsible for performing general tasks related to Guests of Honours, including ticket check-ins, line control, Q&A moderators, hospitality runners, industry booth operations, Green Room cleanup, scheduled item deliveries, and any other assigned tasks by the Guest Operations Manager

Manage and operate guest-specific programming sessions (VIP Meet & Greet Sessions, Panels, etc), which may include acting as the Master of Ceremonies.
Anticipate gaps in the guest schedule, coordinate with Guest Liaisons to determine guest preferences for downtime activities and make suggestions if appropriate.
Deliver items to event rooms and/or individuals based on scheduled times.
Prepare and reset Green Rooms throughout the event.
Obtain items off-site as required and requested by the Guest Operations Manager.
Procure and arrange for delivery of supplies, items, meals, transportation or any guest requests communicated by Guest Liaisons.
If required, operate industry booths, including line control and cash/merchandise sales.
Be available to attend mandatory training and team-building sessions throughout the year.

-Team player Info Desk staff report to the Info Desk Assistant Managers and Info Desk Manager, responsible for assisting our patrons with queries about the Event and distributing specialty passes. Info Desk staff also have auxiliary posts and roam throughout the event. While the majority of this position’s work is during the event, Info Desk Staff may be asked to support info desk set-up and staff training pre-event.

- Well versed in performing monetary transactions and balancing a till. We are looking for eager individuals to serve as Registration Staff. In this position you will be welcoming attendees to Animethon while you help them purchase and pickup passes for the event. Training will be provided!

- Can lift and carry 15-20 pounds efficiently
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable and confident in handling transactions with a point of sales system. As a Content Staff member, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining all event-related content across our website and online guidebook. You will ensure that all information remains accurate, up-to-date, and consistent across platforms, acting as the primary gatekeeper for online event details.
Responsibilities:
Update and manage event content on the website (CMS platform) and online guidebook
Ensure consistency and accuracy of information across all platforms
Perform real-time content updates as needed during the event
Requirements:
Strong English proficiency with excellent attention to detail
Ability to input and manage data efficiently

Basic image editing skills (e.g., resizing images) preferred
Basic HTML knowledge preferred We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our cosplay team, this team oversees all the cosplay events at Animethon, such as the Cosplay Contest, Cosplay Craftsmanship Contest, etc. This team also runs and maintains the Cosplay Repair Room throughout the event.
-Exceptional organizational skills preferred.
-Good communication skills.
-Must be detail orientated.
-Good general knowledge of Cosplay, Anime and Asian Popular Arts and the community.
-Having an events planning background is an asset. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our gaming team! From running the gaming hall to maintaining all the gaming areas.
-Good Knowledge of various types of gaming is required.
-Good organizational skills to track and maintain equipment.
-Experience running gaming tournaments is an asset.
-Must be age 18 or over to apply We are looking for enthusiastic individuals, who have a love for Gundams and building Plamo model kits!

-Problem solving skills The Live Events Staff will be responsible for making sure all “live” events (Fan Panels, Festival booth, Dance Showcase, Cosplay Chess, Charity Auction, VTuber rooms, etc) that occur during the convention are coordinated and ready to go for each special event under Live Events. Depending on the role, they will assist in scheduling, organization, and day-of logistical items.
General requirements:

General Duties:
- check-in Panelists and provide their badges

Fan Panel Duties:
- complete room counts to track attendance

Festival Booth Duties:
- assist in running each of the festival booth games
- explain booth games to patrons

- contribute an enthusiastic attitude to help create the “festival” atmosphere
Dance Showcase Duties:
- assist coordinator with day-of showcase duties
- must be available on Friday August 8, 2025
- assist with the smooth transition of dance groups on and off stage

vTuber Rooms:
- work with vTuber guest and Tech team to ensure the panel runs smoothly
- be comfortable with providing emcee for the vTuber if requested

Assist Animethon personnel by relaying pertinent information to relevant parties.

Assess attendees' props and costumes to ensure they are safe and comply with Animethon policies.

Familiarity with generic convention prop policies is an asset
Familiarity with cosplay prop making and prop materials is an asset.
Minimum two days availability required (Friday - Sunday)

-First Aid training is an asset. Assists the Logistics Manager and Logistics Assistant Manager in their duties before/during/after the Event and may be asked to
perform many of the same duties, answering to the Logistics Assistant Manager should the Logistics Manager be off duty or unable to perform their duties.
Responsibilities:
– Works with Logistics Managment and the Team Leads to ensure Setup/Teardown runs smoothly
-Monitors Slack for any requests for resources or Logistics staff

- Obtaining quotes and coordinating all required rentals for the Vendor Hall (may work with other staff/departments if renting from common place).

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing training programs for cashiers, ensuring that they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and efficiently handle transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cashier operations, training, and a passion for fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities:
-Onboarding and Orientation: Conduct orientation sessions for new cashiers, introducing them to company policies, procedures, and expectations.
Provide hands-on training for new hires on Square and cashier responsibilities.
-Performance Monitoring: Provide constructive feedback to cashiers and offer additional support or retraining as needed.

Treasury is seeking detail-oriented individuals with a penchant for keeping track of numbers. Treasury staff are responsible for managing cash flows during the event.
The responsibilities of Treasury Staff are as follows:
- Prepare and deliver cash floats for various departments
- Count and report on cash inflows and compare against reported sales
- Manage and delegate the distribution of technology, passes and floats
- Ensure that proper tracking procedures are followed.
- Support cashiers with questions and assist when needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform math functions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with counting cash required.
- Working knowledge of Square, iPads, and logging into websites
- Ability to dedicate 6-8 hours per day during Animethon weekend
- Formal training in bookkeeping or accounting considered an asset

Live Events Staff
General requirements:

General Duties:

Fan Panel Duties:
- complete room counts to track attendance

Festival Booth Duties:
- assist in running each of the festival booth games

Dance Showcase Duties:
- assist coordinator with day-of showcase duties

- assist with the smooth transition of dance groups on and off stage

vTuber Rooms:
- work with vTuber guest and Tech team to ensure the panel runs smoothly
- be comfortable with providing emcee for the vTuber if requested

Photo/Video Staff
-Reports to Photo/Video Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator
-Take photos/videos of events or promotions as required by the Photo/Video Coordinator
-Batch process photos taken by photo staff and upload to our social media albums
-Store and backup photos on supplied storage device
Qualifications
-Background and experience in photography/videography required

Social Media Staff
-Year-round position, 7 hrs/week plus at event shifts

Prop Check Staff
Assess attendees' props and costumes to ensure they are safe and comply with Animethon policies.

Work shifts both at the prop check desk and patrols through the vendor hall and convention as a whole.
Reports to the prop check manager.
Qualifications
Customer service experience required.
Familiarity with generic convention prop policies is an asset
Familiarity with cosplay prop making and prop materials is an asset.
Minimum two days availability required (Friday - Sunday)
Comfortable Saying No - there will be props that don't pass our policies, and attendees who will be disappointed by this fact. You must be able to have those difficult conversations without them swaying your decision.

Site Operations
Logistics Dispatch Staff
perform many of the same duties, answering to the Logistics Assistant Manager should the Logistics Manager be off duty or unable to perform their duties.
Responsibilities:
– Works with Logistics Managment and the Team Leads to ensure Setup/Teardown runs smoothly
-Monitors Slack for any requests for resources or Logistics staff
– Coordinates Setup/Teardown teams and day-of runners through their Logistics Team Leads
– Report any issues with delivery, Setup/Teardown, or Staff/Volunteers to Logistics Managment

Signage Coordinator
-Event lead-up time 6 months, plus at event shifts
-Reports to Media Manager
-Coordinate all requirements in regard to signage at all venues of the event;
-Determine the quantity, sizes and information needed for all required signage;
-Work with the Design Coordinator to come up with signage layouts;
-Ensure all materials needed for building the required signage is accounted for or obtained;
-Coordinate the placement and removal of all signage during the event.
Qualifications
-Must be fluent in PhotoShop, InDesign/Illustrator or equivalents
-Education and experience in marketing or design would be a plus
Vendor Coordinator
- Manages all aspects of the Vendor Hall (less sales) that includes:
- Maintaining layout (map).
- Obtaining quotes and coordinating all required rentals for the Vendor Hall (may work with other staff/departments if renting from common place).
- Coordinate setup and tear-down
- Work with the Sales Manager day-of to look after Vendor Hall day-of.
- Ensure Vendor Hall is always manned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer relation skills.
- Experience managing and organizing trade show booth configurations or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Anime or Asian Popular Arts merchandising.
Treasury
Cashier Training Coordinator
Responsibilities:
-Onboarding and Orientation: Conduct orientation sessions for new cashiers, introducing them to company policies, procedures, and expectations.
Provide hands-on training for new hires on Square and cashier responsibilities.
-Performance Monitoring: Provide constructive feedback to cashiers and offer additional support or retraining as needed.
-Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with department managers to identify specific training needs and tailor programs accordingly. Maintain open communication channels with cashiers, addressing any concerns or questions related to training.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a cashier or in a related role.
-Previous experience in training and development
-Familiarity with Square and cash handling procedures.

Treasury is seeking detail-oriented individuals with a penchant for keeping track of numbers. Treasury staff are responsible for managing cash flows during the event.
The responsibilities of Treasury Staff are as follows:
- Prepare and deliver cash floats for various departments
- Count and report on cash inflows and compare against reported sales
- Manage and delegate the distribution of technology, passes and floats
- Ensure that proper tracking procedures are followed.
- Support cashiers with questions and assist when needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform math functions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with counting cash required.
- Working knowledge of Square, iPads, and logging into websites
- Ability to dedicate 6-8 hours per day during Animethon weekend
- Formal training in bookkeeping or accounting considered an asset
- Adequate time management skills, and ability to keep to a schedule
